Jack Spector, WNBC New York, NY July 5, 1969 (25:58)
| |||
[CONTRIBUTION, RESTORATION AND DESCRIPTION BY ROB FRANKEL.] Jack Spector had been fired from WMCA the previous April. Soon after, he started doing fill-in work at WNBC (using many of the drops that he was known for at WMCA). This is a mellower Spector, but still fun to listen to. On this Saturday after the 4th of July, he was filling in for fellow former Good Guy Joe O'Brien. Soon after, Spector was hired by WNBC for a full-time evening shift. Shortly before he would have begun working that shift, WMCA called and asked Jack to return. Spector was able to get out of the WNBC contract that he had just signed, and rejoined WMCA in September, 1969. COMMENTS FOR Jack Spector, WNBC New York, NY July 5, 1969 |
