The exact date of this aircheck is unknown, but we do know this is Gary Stevens AKA Captain Secret on KRIZ in Phoenix, Arizona, sometime in 1971.

Three years after leaving WMCA/New York for Switzerland, Gary was back in the states as PD of KRIZ/Phoenix. To the best of my knowledge, this was Gary's only on-air appearance on KRIZ and most likely the last time he hosted a radio show.

In an interview several years ago, he said of his time in Phoenix, "With KRIZ, I built a great 1968 radio station. Unfortunately, I did it in 1971".
