. . . New York's Great Entertainer . . . [DESCRIPTION BY Uncle Ricky. Contributed by ROB FRANKEL] This is Part Two of Gerald Lee Bledsoe presenting the WWRL Top 100 Hits of 1976 on New Year's Day, 1977. LOTS of long dance versions in this part, DISCO was peaking. Again, Jeff Barnes is included with a complete newscast. More about Gerry Bledsoe is in the exhibit description for Part One, above. WWRL, high up on the dial at 1600, didn't have the best signal in many parts of New York City, and in this aircheck, we hear greater cross-talk from adjacent stations as night falls. Strange engineering to my ears - the microphones are very bright and crisp, but nearly all the music is somewhat muddy! Contributor Rob Frankel credits Joe Persek for the original recording.
