. . . Hello this is Dial-A-Teen. I'm Rod. We care about you. We're not here. . . .

[Description by Uncle Ricky from notes by Beeb E. Rebozo]

Syndicated superstars Don Geronimo and Mike O'Meara were deep in that cool, cool reverb on the WAVA Morning Zoo from Washington, D.C., on August 6, 1986.

REELRADIO pays music licensing fees to present unedited music online. If you enjoy unedited airchecks like this one, your tax-deductible contribution to our operating fund will help keep this and other "unscoped" exhibits available.
Included: The Guy with a Corncob Stuck in his Stomach, which featured a prize for anyone who would get on a pay phone and convince a passer-by to get on the phone and talk to "Doctors" Don & Mike about helping to get a corncob out of his stomach. Also, Don Gets the Cash Call, where Don and Mike randomly dial a Washington resident, announce that they've won a radio contest, and that their prize is that they get to send money to Don. (We'd be surprised if any of the "winners" ever sent anything.)

The Dial-A-Prayer and Dial-A-Message-In-Vietnamese bits are too funny (and too real), and the send-up of Arnold Schwarzenegger is hilarious, as is Maurice (the effeminate sportscaster.) David David Haines (famous for Burnt Toast and Coffee Time) is featured with his stylized news presentation. A super selection of hit music and JAM jingles top off this excellent hi-fidelity recording of a wonderfully entertaining Top 40 morning show. Ding!
