. . . Bill Brown in the Big Town . . . Description by Uncle Ricky Bill Brown is first-class all the way in this delightful capture of WOR-FM from September 4, 1969. He's on in morning drive in this one, it's a rainy Thursday, and it is hard-core Drake format radio at 6 in the morning. Brown went on to a 36-year career at WCBS-FM. He passed away October 9, 2011. Two 30-minute recordings were combined for this exhibit. About 17 minutes was lost between the recordings. The music selection borders on genius, but that evaluation may vary with your age. It's time to buy a new Camaro, and The History Of Rock & Roll is coming back in a 4-day presentation. COMMENTS ON BILL BROWN WOR-FM NEW YORK SEPTEMBER 4 1969 |
