Robert W. Morgan will always be remembered for his on-air performances, but Morgan was also an outstanding voice-over talent. Los Angeles was treated to his expertise as a documentary narrator with The History of Rock 'n' Roll, the original "rockumentary", produced for KHJ in 1969. | ||||||||||||||||
In the mid 1970's, Watermark Executive Tom Rounds(American Top 40) teamed with Morgan for a series of syndicated radio specials. The Robert W. Morgan Special of the Week was distributed on vinyl and featured interviews with contemporary music stars. Morgan's smooth style was a perfect match for the high-quality production typical of Watermark. Robert was the guest host for American Top 40 twice, on February 8, 1975, and September 29, 1979. |

According to American Top 40: Countdown Of The Century by Rob Durkee, Morgan recorded the September 29th show in record time. "We did it in less than an hour," said Morgan. "Forty-some minutes. Everybody was raving, 'that's the fastest anybody had ever done it, including Casey'".
