TOP STREAM 32.1Kbps (16KHz) KHJ Songs and Production Montage, Mid-60's (09:27) . . . Any old coconut won't do - only a Kahuna will save you . . . [Description by Uncle Ricky] This montage begins with a Beach Boys-styled song introducing The New KHJ. You'll hear a greeting from each of the original Boss Radio crew: Robert W. Morgan, Roger Christian, Gary Mack, The Real Don Steele, Dave Diamond, Sam Riddle, and Johnny Williams. Then, numerous promotional announcements follow, most of them voiced by Robert W. Morgan. George Harrision introduces a KHJ premiere of Yellow Submarine, and there's a song parody of The Bobby Fuller Four (I Fought the Law) for The Big Kahuna. These classic production elements are part of the magic that burned Boss into the collective memory of Southern California. |
