TOP STREAM 64Kbps (13Khz STEREO) J.J. McKay, WBCY-FM Charlotte, N.C. 1987 (09:10)
. . . [Description by Uncle Ricky] This short, embullient composite of J.J. McKay on WBCY-FM in Charlotte, N.C. proves that Top 40 radio was alive and booming in 1987. In fact, it closes with TM-Century jingle lyrics: Charlotte's Top 40 WBCY! J.J. has lots of gags and drop-ins, and the editing is tight! Jeff Pilot is the traffic reporter for WBCY-FM, sister of the mighty WBT-AM and WBTV, and in 1987 all owned by Jefferson-Pilot Broadcasting. J.J. contributed this aircheck in July, 2002. At that time, he was in Lewisville, TX. |
