Uncle Ricky produced this composite of random promos and bits of The Greaseman Show as heard on KLOS-FM in Los Angeles, and via Satellite, between 1993 and 1997. Some selections were edited, and others were not.

All of this material was orginally contributed by Frank Hutton in 1999.

In addition to a number of short promos, intros and grease-songs (NinoManiacs is the finale), you'll hear a couple of O.J. Simpson bits, the World's Largest Wet T-Shirt Contest, Get A Camper For Some Scamper, Grease and Producer Visit A Nursing Home, 1994, and Clinton & The Punk (Fudgetrain).

I am including this exhibit because of the great demonstration of the magic of radio theatre, and the production was first-rate. Listen to the use of sound effects and multiple voices in these airchecks! Grease worked at this stuff in the '90's like they did in the '50's and '60's. Certainly his subject matter was "contemporary" and "controversial", but his presentation was good and a worthy example of radio production technique.
