TOP STREAM 20.7Kbps (10KHz) Bob Hudson, KFWB Los Angeles July 1967 (21:10) . . . You can whip Liston and Clay on the same night, your Highness . . . [Description by Freddy Snakeskin] I recorded this one as a young teenager, using my trusty Wollensak and Admiral AM clock radio (with alligator clips attached to the speaker terminals!) I grew up in Phoenix; my L.A. tapes were recorded on a family vacation to Santa Monica in July, 1967. Emperor Bob Hudson was an early hero of mine. What a wacko (and an accomplished master of the rare art of original thinking.) I would have listened to him doing any format, playing any kind of music, just to hear what he might say between the songs! |
