TOP STREAM 105Kbps (16KHz STEREO) BROADBAND RECOMMENDED! Bob Elliot, WOR-FM New York 1968 (01:12:19) . . . Memories are made of this . . . [Description by Uncle Ricky]
It's original Drake all the way, with the big guy himself featured on legendary liners like "The Hits Just Keep On Coming", and "Memories Are Made Of This".
And, as Bob says, "Be ready with your tweeters and woofers, you might hear something you ain't NEVER heard before - Me Too!". There are some genuine goodies here; Million Dollar Music for sure. But, the recording is not without flaws. A short portion of "I Thank You" was reconstructed, and bits of "You've Really Got A Hold On Me" never made it to the encoder. We also suspect that WOR-FM was playing everything from cart. A few songs are too tight at the beginning, and the stereo phase changed frequently with the program content. Still, 72 uncut minutes of WOR-FM of this vintage, in stereo, is a near-miracle. Our thanks again to contributor Wayne Scott. | ||
