TOP STREAM 20.7Kbps (10KHz) Beaver Cleaver, B-100 KFMB-FM San Diego 1976 (10:58) . . . I found out I really wasn't Barry White . . . [Description by Uncle Ricky from notes by Ken Levine] Ken Levine offered this 1976 performance as Beaver Cleaver for the B-100 Reunion, held in San Diego on July 2, 2000. "It was fabulous", Ken writes, "a tribute to a magic station, a time when radio was fun, and the man responsible for it all, Bobby Rich. There was memorabilia, Shotgun Tom Kelly provided a film/slide show, and I emceed a program that included some poignant and hilarious memories. John Fox organized it, and it was a night for the ages." Levine, who owns an Emmy and two Writers Guild awards for his work in TV writing (M*A*S*H, The Simpsons) is in top form. Listen as he stops a record, re-cues it and does the intro again - just to get it right! |
