This Exhibit 'SCOPED (11:50)[Description by Uncle Ricky. Exhibit contributed by Andy Bologovsky] Don't say "Hello!" Big Mike Scott has $1521 to give away. He also has one edited PAMS jingle, "reverb on demand", and TWO kinds of music — rock AND roll — on this aircheck from San Diego's Heavy Eleven Seventy. Reid Carroll is featured with news. In 1967, Scott left Texas where he had worked at KONO and KLIF to program KCBQ, which had been beaten badly by Bill Drake-consulted KGB. Scott brought in fellow Texans Jimmy Rabbitt and B. Bailey Brown, and a new kid named Lee Baby Simms. By the time of this aircheck (Saturday, November 9, 1968) Scott had become the first programmer to beat Boss Radio. After a brief 1969 stint at KFRC in San Francisco, he asked K.O. Bayley and Simms to join him at WJBK in Detroit. In the mid-'70's, he returned to Texas and worked at KQUE and KNUZ. Mike Scott passed away in June, 2008. He operated a recording studio in Houston, Texas and was a successful voice talent for many years. [SOME MUSIC ON THIS RECORDING HAS BEEN RESTORED]
