. . . From London comes the report that Paul McCartney has left The Beatles . . .

[DESCRIPTION BY UNCLE RICKY - CONTRIBUTED and RESTORED BY ROB FRANKEL]

Jeff Scott delivers a history-making news report about Englands's most famous pop group, and this Spring, 1970 recording of Steve Clark and Gus Gossert on WCBS-FM is one of the most remarkable we've heard. The production and presentation is excellent, the music selection is unpredictable and delightful, and our hosts are personable and professional.

This is simply some of most enjoyable radio imaginable, featuring a masterful mix of rock, pop and R&B representing true variety in 1970 popular music. As usual, Rob Frankel's restoration is flawless and the 96Kbps stereo is a crispy treat, too.

Thanks to Matt Seinberg of Big Apple Airchecks for the original aircheck.
