[Description by Uncle Ricky]

This studio capture of Jack Armstrong on WKBW from December 22, 1970, is Part One of at least a three-part presentation. Parts 2 and 3 will be on this page before Christmas of 2013.

This aircheck was contributed as 'scoped, so the music has been restored. Most of the commercial content in this hour consists of Jack's live spots, so there's a good sense of the real-time show, though we miss the few recorded spots and newscasts.

There are a few references to and snippets of Program Director Jefferson Kaye, who passed away from cancer the week of November 11, 2012.

Here's Part 2 of a studio capture of Jack Armstrong on WKBW from December 22, 1970. The music has been restored, but the spots and news were not recorded. However, all the jingles were, so it's a very entertaining 53-minute hour.

Jack claims to have a copy of Danny Neaverth's "outline" for the next morning's show, and he reveals several of Danny's "jokes".

[Description by Uncle Ricky]

The music has been restored to this originally-scoped studio recording of Jack Armstrong on WKBW, Buffalo, New York, from December 22, 1970.

Jack's special guest is Santa Claus, a fireman who has been collecting toys for kids of needy families.

This hour closes with a cheery Holiday greeting from Barbara Billups, a friendly WKBW employee of the Programming Department.

Incredibly, there is MORE of Jack's show from this date, something we look forward to presenting for Christmas of 2014.
